Lord Leo Socks. I am a very small but passionate American Horse breeder.Over the last 8yrs of breeding QH I am constantly amazed at their kind temperment and incredible agility.I have 4 breeding mares and my own gorgeous USA imported stallion,Lord Leo Socks who passes on to all his foals his unbelievable kind and layed back temperment plus his trademark white socks. I produce quality faols with superb conformation,(both my farrier and vet say so) and because I don`t have large overheads or staff I can offer my foals at affordable prices which I haven`t increased in 8yrs. I am 65% disabled and have no trouble handling any of my mini herd which speaks volumesfor Quater Horses easy going and reliable temperment.
Totes crownley is sited in the beautiful South Devon countryside in the village of Stoke Gabriel just outside Paignton. In 2002 I had a serious riding accident (not on a quarter horse) and although I`m unable to ride I really couldn`t give up my mare.A free ticket to a AQH show changed my life and I was hooked.I was very lucky to find Lynn and Joanne at Roslin Stud only 20 miles away and over the years I have used 3 of their super stallions and aquired 2 mares from them. In 2006 I had the amazing luck buying Lord Leo Socks,who I had admired from afar for years never dreaming that I would one day own him.His pedigree and golden palomino colour really complementing my 4 mares which colours are,Sorrel,Buckskin,Red Roan and Perlino.
Socks first 4 foals where Palomino and my 3 were booked at 10
days old.
What is the American Quarter Horse ? He`s half a
ton of poised energy,held on an easy rein and a hair trigger.He`s
a working man who came earn his keep on the range all week and be
a hansome dandy at the track on Sunday afternoon.He`s proud when
he stand`s,looking lazy when he walks -but when he run`s he can
whip the tear`s from the corner of your eye`s and plaster your
hat brim against the crown.He`s big in the haunches,supple in the
withers,stout in the neck and wide in the chest......... to hold
his great heart.He`s cow-smart and brave-though sometime`s a
clown and to a man with the sky in his eye and mud on his boot`s
a Quater Horse is a faithful hand and friend.

him predictable,calm tempered animal for those who want the quiet
life and yet his natural agility and turn of speed make him the
ideal mount for riding club activities,gymkhana,cross
country,hunting and all kinds of English riding.The unique
attrributes of the pure bred American Quarter Horse makes him not
only a perfect mount in his own right but also combine very
successfully with other breed`s producing extremely useful and
attractive part bred animal`s with the Quater Horse stamp.
